Unable to get automatic forum subscription working

First of all let me say thank you for this mod, it is very useful mod and I am looking to enable it for all new members by default in my community, if I get the missing feature working as shown below.

I installed the mod as per instructions, and changed both the places in my templates.

I get to see only one option about Default thread subscription mode, not the 2nd one about Automatic subscriptions to all threads and posts. I am getting email notification about new posts, most likely only on threads where I have either started thread or posted already.

But I did not get notification on new thread I started myself.

Currently it only adds it to your settings in your User CP (User CP > Edit Options), it's not in the Admin CP yet, although I do have plans to add it there as somebody else requested it there too.

Yes, I get what you said. But I am not looking at that feature of Admin CP having the notification options.

I am able to see the automatic addition of subscribed threads in my User CP, but automatic forum subscription is not turned on after activate of plugin. Following is screenshot from my User CP about forum subscriptions which shows blank.

   

If I understand correctly the features of this plugin, it will allow automatic subscription to all new (or maybe existing also) forums also, isn't it so?

Basically, I want to provide functionality to all users that they can get email notification of any new thread/post on existing or new forums. Even if they have not started that forum/thread or made a reply themselves. So far I am able to get notification only for replies to those threads where user has posted himself.

So what setting did you choose in the Automatic Subscriptions setting in your User CP...?? This doesn't get enabled for users automatically when the plugin gets activated, it has to be turned on by changing the setting in your User CP. Then you'll get subscriptions for what you tell it you want to subscribe to.

Here is the screenshot from user cp. I have enabled the setting for thread notification, but cannot see the setting for forum notification as shown in plugin help screenshot.

You've not made the template edit to the template set your theme is using. That setting is just the standard MyBB setting for the type of subscription you want.

Ok thanks. I had saved the template twice earlier but it never showed up when I opened the php again, this time I double and triple checked and made sure it was saved.

The new threads are getting subscribed automatically now, when I post my own new threads. But I do not get email notification for any of these. If I think about it, it may be a feature rather than bug since there is not much utility sending email notification to me of my own new thread. So I guess all features should be working now.
